Daniel Poirier's writing has been published by or is forthcoming from Madcap Review, subTerrain Magazine, Columbia Journal, Pithead Chapel, Deadshirt, and Lyre among others. He has an MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College. He currently teaches at Langara College and co-hosts the Strangers on a Train reading series. His story "This Cold Part of the World" was a finalist for the Malahat Review's Far Horizons Award for Short Fiction, and his story "A Most Amazing Thief" won 1st prize in the Vancouver Writers Fest Writing Contest in 2017. He was the Creative Director of the literary journal LUMINA for issue XIII and the first volume of the multimedia issue LUX. He was the Editor of This Is Vancity from 2011-2013. |
